Terms of use

Last updated 25 October 2026
These terms apply when you use StatCaddie. By using the site, or creating an account, you agree to them. Please read them: they’re short.

Who we are

StatCaddie is an independent football stats website based in the United Kingdom. To contact us, email statcaddie@gmail.com or use our feedback page (choose “Other”).

Who StatCaddie is for

StatCaddie is for football fans, analysts and bettors aged 18 or over. Many of the figures are laid out around betting markets, so we ask that everyone using the site is 18 or over, and you must be to create an account. We may close any account we believe belongs to someone under 18.

Stats for information, not tips

StatCaddie is for anyone who wants to dig into football stats. Many figures are laid out like the markets bookmakers offer, which makes them handy if you bet, but everything on the site is for information only:
  • •
Nothing on the site is a tip or a recommendation to bet, and past results don’t guarantee what happens next. If you do bet, it’s your own decision and your own responsibility.
  • •
We work hard to get the figures right, but they come from data suppliers and can be wrong, incomplete or late (for example a missing referee or a late change to a team sheet). Always check with the bookmaker before you bet.
  • •
We are not a bookmaker. We don’t take bets, hold money or pass on your details to bookmakers.

Safer gambling

If you bet, only bet what you can afford to lose, and never chase losses. If gambling stops being fun, help is free and confidential:
  • •
    BeGambleAware: advice and support.
  • •
    National Gambling Helpline (GamCare): 0808 8020 133, open 24 hours a day.
  • •
GamStop: block yourself from UK gambling sites and apps for free.

Your account

  • •
Each account is for one person. Give a real email address and keep your password to yourself.
  • •
You can delete your account at any time from your account page (see our privacy policy).
  • •
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, for example by misusing the site as described below.

The beta, and paid plans later

StatCaddie is in beta and free to use. Features may change, move or be removed as we improve the site, and it may sometimes be unavailable.
We plan to offer paid plans in future. You’ll never be charged unless you choose to sign up for one, and we’ll set out the price and terms clearly before you do.

Fair use

Please don’t:
  • •
    copy, scrape or download the stats in bulk, or republish or sell them (our data suppliers license them to us for this site only);
  • •
    try to break into, overload or interfere with the site or other people’s accounts;
  • •
use the feedback form to send spam, abuse or anything unlawful.
Sharing a link or a screenshot of a page with friends is fine.

Who owns what

The site, its design and the way the stats are calculated and presented belong to StatCaddie. The underlying match data is licensed from our data suppliers. Club, league and competition names belong to their owners, and StatCaddie isn’t connected with or endorsed by any club, league or bookmaker.

Our responsibility to you

We provide StatCaddie with reasonable care and skill, but because it’s a free information service in beta we can’t promise it will always be available or error-free.
We are not responsible for any bet you place or money you lose, or for losses we couldn’t reasonably have foreseen. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn’t allow us to limit, such as for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud, and nothing affects your legal rights as a consumer.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example when paid plans arrive. We’ll change the date at the top, and tell account holders about important changes before they take effect. If you keep using the site after that, the new terms apply.

The law that applies

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes go to its courts. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you can also bring a claim in your own country’s courts.
